How we select charities for maximum impact partnerships.
We carefully select small charities where our $10,000 annual donation creates meaningful impact. Here's what we look for in our partnerships.
Small charity where a donation of US$10,000 would be between 1% and 10% of the average overall donations per year.
Donations would be allocated directly to the charity's core mission and not just to administration and management. Donations will be for specific, tangible needs and projects.
A commitment to fund once a year for 3 consecutive years unless there is cause for concern for mis-management of the donation within the charity. This is to enable the charity to plan ahead, future proofing some initiatives.
Where possible a member of the allocation committee will visit the charity and meet prime representatives plus a representation of those being assisted by the charity to establish a personal approach.
The committee will seek out new charities meeting the criteria, also welcoming applications from small charities globally. A new charity will receive funds each month.
Following the funding, an update report will be issued 3 months later and then again at 11 months to ensure the funds are being spent wisely and to the original criteria before the next year's funding is submitted. Thereafter, 1 month prior to the next donation to check compliance of expenditure.
